Windows Shortcuts and Commands
Some people especially from DOS Era still think that here is life beyond GUI and mouse clicks. Keyboard is still a very productive tool for any OS. It makes life lot easier if you know the right keyboard shortcut for the job. A true IT guy is the one who can use windows just from the keyboard & even without the mouse if the need be so… & It is far less strain on your hand and wrist if you know even a few keyboard shortcuts. Keyboard shortcuts and high precision mouse skills can become a killer combination and can even set the screen ablaze and leave your friends amazed…. try them … they are worth every minute you spend reading and memorizing them.
Run Commands:
rsop.msc – Resultant set of policies
services.msc – Various Services
msconfig – System Configuration Utility
regedit – Registry Editor
msinfo32 – System Information
sysedit – System Edit
win.ini – windows loading information(also system.ini)
winver – Shows current version of windows
mailto: – Opens default email client
command – Opens command promptsecpol.msc – Local security settings
compmgmt.msc – Computer management
devmgmt.msc – Device manager
diskmgmt.msc – Disk management
dfrg.msc – Disk defrag
eventvwr.msc – Event viewer
fsmgmt.msc – Shared folders
gpedit.msc – Group policies
lusrmgr.msc – Local users and groups
perfmon.msc – Performance monitor
Run Commands to access the control panel:
Add/Remove Programs control appwiz.cpl
Date/Time Properties control timedate.cpl
Display Properties control desk.cpl

I enjoy using keyboard short-cuts, they tend to be faster than the mouse sometimes. Thanks for sharing.
Good list, you can also type ‘cmd’ in run to get the command prompt which is faster to type than command
Very nice list.
One mistake though…
In MS Explorer BACKSPACE do not make you go up one folder, it makes you go back to the previous windows, whatever folder that might be.
One of my favorites is in Windows is SHIFT+RIGHT CLICK, it open a context menu with some different options, especially ‘open CMD here’ or ‘Copy as Path’
i see all the list,it’s nice but most of the commands are not required because we can do it easily with mouse , some are really useful but lot of peoples don’t know how to use..so go a head with it’s practical demonstration

I was wondering if this is possible?
I’m using this program at work and it requires to enter a password, but the password is very long and hard to remember. I was wondering if it’s possible to assign the password to a key, like F4 or some type of macro where i can just hit that key when it asks for password? Please help if you know. thanks
