Mobile Phone Towers: A Big Threat To Honey Bees
According to a research published in India, the electromagnetic waves mobile phone towers and cell-phones emit can be hazardous to honey bees.
Researchers made an experiment in southern state of Kerala. They observed that a rapid decrease in the bee population was the result of mobile towers which the mobile phone companies had installed throughout the state to broaden their networking.
IBM Scientists First To Image ‘Anatomy’ Of A Molecule
Scientists at IBM in Zurich, Switzerland, captured an image of a molecule’s surface through non-contact atomic-force microscopy. This is a breakthrough which could help in manufacturing cheaper and more power efficient computing elements.
Now, IBM scientists can map the chemical structure of the pentacene molecule by using atomic-force microscopy.
