Many problems like application is loading slowly or working weird can be solved by repairing permissions. Each file in Mac Os X includes a set of permissions; this decides which user or application can get access to them. Sometimes permissions are wrong and the operating system does not understand them. Fix disk permissions by using the Disk Utility app; you will find it in Applications/Utilities. 1-Desktop Excessively Cluttered
Are there too many files and folders on your desktop? If yes, they are slowing down your machine. Arrange these files into folders and keep them in your home directory. You can have access to them by creating aliases to them.
2-Having Corrupt Preference Files
Preference files usually become corrupted. This makes program’s working weird or slow. If your Mac runs slow while using any particular application you should delete its preference file and re-launch that application.
