Google Plans To Release Chrome OS Late This Year

Google intends to launch Chrome OS at the end of this year, the laptop users will be the target audiences. Sundar Pichai, Google’s Vice President of product management stated during Competex Electronics Exhibition in Taipei, that the Chrome Web Store will begin at the same time so that customers can download Web Applications that can run on Chrome OS.

It seems that the delayed launch of Chrome OS is meant to compete with other Operating Systems and Microsoft’s Windows 7. Vice President further added that Google Chrome OS is intended for laptops this year.Chrome OS is compatible with devices with touchpads, keyboards and screens of 10 to 12 inches or any other device along netbooks which best fits with the hardware specifications can easily attain Google Certification. For Google Certification, the hardware should be of good quality (depending on hardware makers).

According to Vice President, in the beginning, Chrome OS limits certain customizations like user interfaces, but later on more customizations will be permitted.
