Being the first Android device from the manufacturer, the software has successfully attracted a lot of attention as well. Some of the main features that make the phone special include a 4 inch amazing screen, 1GHz Snapdragon processor together with a 8.1 megapixel camera.

Due to the huge 4-inch display it carries, the phone is quite huge. However, the weight of the phone has been balanced properly making the cell phone easier to carry around.

Having a resolution of 480×854 pixels, the screen provides great image quality. The capacitive screen supports great sensitivity and is very easy to use, but doesn’t support multitouch.

It is possible to charge and connect the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 to a PC through a normal microUSB port. The phone also has 3.5mm jack and so you can easily plug in your favorite earphones.

One special thing about its interface is the inclusion of the Timescape feature. This feature gives you information about what´s going on around you and allows you to take a look at the last things you did using the device. You can think of it as a mixture of a social networking client and personal diary.

With Timescape, you can easily see all the latest information about your Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and VZnet buddies in the form of cards called Splines. In addition to this, Timescape allows you to view all of your recent conversations, messages, emails, pictures and audio tracks. The application also permits you to simultaneously update your status in all available social networks, which is a nice feature.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is the first Android handset to carry 8.1-megapixel camera. The interface is also great and provides a number of options.

According to the manufacturer, the battery has the capability to provide 8 hours of continuous talk time, and a standy time of 425 hours. However, to get a longer battery time, remember to switch off all social networking updates as they drain the battery quite fast.

Overall, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is definitely an outstanding device. The build quality is great, the screen is huge and features wonderful sensitivity, and you can get almost all the additional features that you might want, including 3G, Wi-Fi and GPS. The 8-megapixel camera is awesome and the call quality is good as well, making this an extremely likable phone for all.
