The Samsung Wave S8500 is the first smartphone that is equipped with the new mobile operating system from the manufacturer, bada.

Having the new TouchWiz 3.0 interface, the handset seems just like a typical Samsung feature phone. It is predicted that bada will be a handy, easy to use OS, allowing the users to install different applications and use the rich system resources to enhance their experience.

The Samsung Wave S8500 has a classy look and seems quite similar to the Google Nexus One, apart from one important difference, i.e. the screen of the Wave is about 3.3 inches, whereas the Nexus One has a 3.7-inch screen. However, the AMOLED display gives great contrast of colors. The phone also allows better visibility under bright sunlight, which is something not very common for AMOLEDs.

The phone runs smoothly without any lag. The Samsung Wave S8500 gives a similar experience as the iPhone 3GS.

The phone allows more than three home screen pages, and the widgets are stored in a field at the bottom of the screen. The 5MP camera has autofocus, an LED flash and is capable of recording 720p HD videos. The interface is quite simple and easy to use as well.

It seems that Samsung has finally come up with a killer phone in the form of its first bada smartphone, the Samsung Wave S8500. Apart for its good looks, it supports a gorgeous Super AMOLED screen and fast 1GHz Samsung processor, together with the latest wireless technology with Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11n.
