iPhone users probably use camera for stills and to make videos. But when it comes to sync then it takes a lot of time because of automatic backup process. To speedup things you have a solution to regularly sync your camera, and then delete these contents and next time it will not take a lot of time.

Secure Your Backups

If you will set up iTunes, it will encrypt the backups and they will be password protected. So if your computer is even lost or stolen then no one can use your data.

You can configure it with following steps:

1. Launch iTunes.

2. Attach iPhone or iPod via USB sync cable provided by Apple to computer.

3. After reorganization of device by iTunes, locate and select the ‘Summary’ tab of that device.

4. In options, select Encrypt iPhone backup and make it checked.

5. You’ll be prompted to set the password which will be used next time to access backups.

Manage Backups in iTunes

iTunes automatically manages your backups of iPhone and iPod, but you can modify them by deleting the older backups, or deleting the backups of devices now you don’t possess

1. Launch iTunes.
2. Open the iTunes preferences on computer.
3. Choose the Devices tab.

Now the already stored backups will be displayed by iTunes. If you uses more than one device then their will be a list for every device. And they will be sorted out by date; the top file will be the most recent one. Older backup files can also be important according to you requirement.

You can also delete a backup by clicking on its entry under Device Backups and by clicking the above Delete Backup button.

It is recommended to backup the device after any new contacts added or any other thing important for you, you can’t afford to lose. These tips will surely help you in reducing the time to take backups and are more secure and easier to manage now than ever.
