Amazon Launched Kindle Application For Blackberry

Amazon took another step ahead to continue its struggle to expand its e-book business beyond Amazon’s own hardware. Amazon introduced a Kindle application for seven Blackberry phones on last Thursday.Kindle Apps For BlackBerry

Amazon started functioning as an online book seller then it expanded its services and offered electronics and several other retail categories became the part of Amazon. Amazon introduced its own kindle application that is a kindle reader device, this step is taken to expand its e-book business. With this great application, readers now can read e-books on iPhones and Windows computers. Customer can read e-book on any device after buying rights to read a book.

These devices includes BlackBerry phones, and more interestingly Amazon announced that soon this application will work for Apple’s Macs and iPads. Android phones were not mentioned by Amazon wile announcing Kindle application for these devices.

Lan Freed, Amazon’s vice president for the Kindle application said, “Since the launch of our popular Kindle for iPhone app last year, customers have been asking us to bring a similar experience to the BlackBerry, and we are thrilled to make it available today.”

After years of darkness, electronic book industry is growing and activated in parts by the Kindle work. In reality, Kindle itself doesn’t have the market anymore, with the e-book readers from the Barnes and Nobles and others, and with the forthcoming iPad sporting e-book reading of Apple are only one among the other abilities.

Amazon’s new kindle application supports these Blackberry’s phones: Bold 9000 and 9700, the Curve 8520 and 8900, the Storm 9530 and 9550, and the Tour 9630.

The Amazon’s Kindle application allow people to browse Amazon’s catalog, read e-book before buying, bookmaking certain locations in the book, synchronize certain reading locations among various devices, and people can enjoy reading books in original colors.

Though, e-books can remarked with the Kindle devices and the iPod and iPhone Touch application, but the application of BlackBerry doesn’t allow new remarks or notes.
