Sony Ericsson has finally succeeded in releasing a fix for its Satio and Aino phones, stating that at least one retailer will be restocking the handsets.

The company released a statement earlier today, saying that a firmware update will fix issues and help users to update their handsets easily.

The update will work towards resolving freezing phones and touchscreen issues, whereas the new software should also offer improvements in performance and stability.

Previously, an update had been released but it had not been publicized. The UK mobile operators have approved the new one, and as claimed by the firm, it should therefore fix even branded handsets, which previously had not been covered.

One of the main retailers, Phones4u, has announced recently that although it had previously withdrawn units from sale, it is glad to be re-stocking them.

According to the Phones 4u trading director, Scott Hooton, Phones 4u is pleased to confirm that all Sony Ericsson Satio stock has been flashed with new software and recommenced trading on Saturday 4th December.

Sales of the Satio were strong over the weekend and it is hoped that the device will continue to perform strongly throughout the Christmas trading period.

Carphone Warehouse will also be restarting its sale of the phones soon.
