Via Technologies Announces Nano 3000 Series of Microprocessors.
One of the famous developers of low-power microprocessors and core-logic sets, Via Technologies, has recently announced its new lineup of microprocessors.

According to Via, the new chips will be able to perform better than their predecessors almost by 20%, in terms of performance and will also have lower power consumption.
Basically, the new chips are not new microprocessors having an innovative micro-architecture, but in reality are old chips with tweaks and SSE4 support.
Richard Brown, the vice president of international marketing at Via Technologies said that the Via Nano 3000-series is the fastest and the most power-efficient processors that has been creates till now.
Incorporated together with the market-leading digital media chipsets, they will enable the richest experience across a broad range of mobile and all-in-one system designs, as said by the vice president.
The new chips that are based on the Isaiah architecture also feature Adaptive PowerSaver Technology, that further reduces power consumption and improves thermal management.
They also have the unique TwinTurbo dual-PLL implementation, that allows smooth transitions between activity states within one clock cycle, making sure that its always-on service and minimize latency, as well as new mechanisms for managing the die temperature.
The speeds available for Via Nano 3000 processors will be from 1.0GHz to 2.0GHz. Although Via Nano 3000 samples are currently available for OEMs and motherboard vendors, they will enter mass production in Q1 2010.
