Mobile Industry is growing day by day and the reason for this is the variety of features that are being offered by these mobile phones. Following are the few things that have become outdated because of mobile phones offering the similar functions:
Phone boxes
Years back mobile phones consisted of these, though smelly but appealing, communication booths. In 1920s first red color phone box was established and presently these phone boxes provides different types of services including the web access.
Therefore, mobile phone boxes are completely useless because of mass-market mobile phones.Wristwatches
Since mobile has a clock feature incorporated in it, there are very few people who use wristwatches. Currently, mobile phones have taken over these wristwatches.
Bedside alarm clocks
Majority of the people now use mobile phones for setting their alarm in order to wake up.

MP3 players
It also a MP3 player in which you can download songs in MP3 format. Therefore, you don’t need a separate device to save or listen to songs.
Landline home phones
Though mobile phones have not replaced landline phones completely but its expected that they will completely become obsolete in the near future.
Compact digital cameras
Cameras are also installed in a mobile. Though the quality of mobile cameras is not as good as digital camera but has replaced digital camera to some extent. Many mobile phones having a 5-megapixel camera have now been introduced.
Netbooks
Current mobile phone companies including Nokia have launched such models that can be replaced by computers. These mobile phones have an access to all those basic features that earlier could only be accessible through a computer.
Handheld games consoles
iPhone offers the best variety of games that were earlier accessible through Nintendo DS or PSP. Moreover, mobile phones also allow gamers to play multiplayer games no matter where they are, unlike these gaming devices.
Paper
Through mobile phones you can have an access to traditionally paper-based data. You can read these papers through your mobile phones rather than reading, dictionaries and novels which are comparatively more convenient and costly.
