Motorola Planning To Launch 20 Smartphones

After a lot of effort and hard work, Motorola has finally managed to make profits and lessen loses. In addition to that they are also planning to launch 20 more Smartphones in the coming year (2010). These phones will be operated through Google’s Android software.

The Schaumburg, ILL.-based Company made a profit of $12 million compared to the loss incurred in the same quarter previous year. However, sales kept on decreasing year after year continued to drop after months of heavy losses and reducing market share.
It also showed a fall of 27 percent in profit to $ 5.4 billion from $ 7.5 billion last year and shipped 13.6 million phones, which was comparatively less, as compared to second quarter.
In order to improve company’s performance co-CEO of Motorola, Sanjay Jha was appointed previous year. He is planning to come up with a chain of smartphones supported by Google’s Android like “Droid” for Verizon and “Cliq” for T-Mobile.
According to Jha, these phones which are to be launched in 2010 are expected to increase its sales and profits and in turn improving financial performance. It consist of a lot of features that people wish for and require.
Motorola Company has modified these phones and has made them more efficient after realizing that are badly loosing the market share and position in the market.
