On September 9, 2009, at HostingCon 2009 in Washington, D.C. cPanel has demonstrated Enkompass RC0 for the first time, Enkompass is cPanel’s next generation Web hosting control panel that is built for Microsoft Windows Server 2008.

In development for more than a year, the latest addition to cPanel’s growing suite of Web hosting control panel and automation solutions is being represented by Enkompass, which have previously focused exclusively on Linux-and FreeBSD-based servers.
The Enkompass interface mirrors that of cPanel and WHM for Linux by which its users are allowed to quickly understand both products with just a little training. Enkompass can be installed on one llS7 Server and then it reaches out to provision accounts on multiple web, mail and database servers.

J. Nick Koston who is cPanel CEO has said that over the past several years Microsoft has shown a strong commitment to the hosting industry their Windows development team feels that Microsoft IIS7 offers a robust, high-performance Web server having increased security that will be quickly adopted by the industry.
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and IIS7 having its modern architecture and support for legacy products had been the natural starting point for their expanded product offering.
At the 4th Annual cPanel Conference that is going to be held from October 5-7, 2009 in Houston, Texas, Enkompass and WHM will be discussed in-depth. 26 informational sessions are offered by this user conference and for high impact technical training, roundtable discussions, and expert advice on how to maximize business potential with cPanel, WHM and Enkompass, it brings system engineers, developers, executives, and technical support reps together .
