Race of netbooks is just going on and on, Gateway has launched its 10.1-inch wide display compact notebook, the LT2000. It include 1GB of RAM, a hard drive of 160GB, three 2.0 USB ports, a webcam and its basic ability to connect to internet. LT2000 seems to be like every other netbook.
But now we want to have something different in these mini-machines beside it tag price. But to know all about it we have the specs and some views of images, so let have look on it.
If we see its images, it seems to us like other netbooks. Not so much designed work, seems that an awesome robot is packed in a box. If we not compare it with Optimus Prime of netbook then it seems a nice design. The machine include a 1.6 GHz N270 Atom Processor, 1GB RAM and Hard Drive of 160GB. Weak point is its 3-cell battery that only make the LT2000 availble to you for three hours. We have such machine (like Toshiba NB205-310) in market that will not cost you more than $300 and they will last with you more than three hours.
The LT2000 netbooks available with pre-installed Windows XP and other software. Some free Microsoft application are also there for work. Trial version of bloatware Office Home and Student 2007 are also included in the Gateway LT2000.
A less unique function is the multi-gesture touchpad, which enables user to easily navigate through web pages, music and media. And this function is also not entirely unique, as many other machines of different vendors have the same quality. Acer’s Aspire AS5536 has the same feature.
The LT2000 netbooks are available in both Cherry Red and NightSky Black.
