Old but not Gold.

Google says about OS: “…the operating systems that browsers run on were designed in an era where there was no web.”

Reason : Microsoft Window is becomes a granny– it celebrated its 25th anniversary last November — and here the myth of Old is Gold goes wrong as the windows belongs to Dark Days B.I., or Before Internet.

Google, which is half in age than Microsoft’s Windows– it will turns 11 this September – shows the people that it’s a Net-centric firm, and know much better how to create an OS where the Web is the main application platform.

Time Counts

Google says about OS: “…We’re designing the OS to be fast and lightweight, to start up and get you onto the Web in a few seconds.”

Reason: Windows with all its package is slow, it takes a mile to  boot and show users the desktop. Critics have been charging this issue nearly from start of Windows but all the matter become serious when Microsoft launched its Windows Vista edition.

As soon as it reached to user, Microsoft’s support forum became one of the busiest place where everyone have some complaint regarding Windows Vista and the major complaints are about lethargic start-up and shut-down. Users think twice while using Windows Vista on their machines.

Microsoft also accepted Vista’s laziness during boot process and to overcome it launched Service Pack 1 (SP1), but all in vain. We can say Google pushed hard Microsoft and put it at back step.

Security does Matter

Google says about OS: “…we are going back to the basics and completely redesigning the underlying security architecture of the OS so that users don’t have to deal with viruses, malware and security updates.”

Reason: Windows PCs are like bug machines, Windows is always constantly under attack, and Windows developers have to keep it update by producing patches to make it out of reach of bad boys. In recent time Microsoft was accused of having a bug for a year and this bug is used by hacker since June 11. This bugs is used to infect browsing of those PC’s that have the older older version of Internet Explorer.

Answering to a question regarding security Google promise that Google Chrome OS will be the ultra-safe and ultra-secure.

Same as Before

Google says: “They want their computers to always run as fast as when they first bought them.”

Reason: Compare a new PC’s speed having the same Microsoft OS with one that you bought a month before with the same specification. It runs quite fast than the old one. One think where is the problem. The reason is that with the passage of time its starts crawling like and old dog in hot summer.

After lots of application installation and un-installation, pouring patches of update after updates, loading driver for every new gadgets, windows’ performance decreases with every and each action. The only way to get out of this problem is “Just Format the Drive and reinstall it”. But this whole process will knock you down.  Some might got some improvement after some tweaking.

No need to Tweak it

Google says: “…they don’t want to spend hours configuring their computers to work with every new piece of hardware, or have to worry about constant software updates.”

Reason: To keep running  Windows is a a tough task, it need one’s precious time to keep the Windows on track. User has to spent hours a week for the purpose. And casual user know this fact very well, they plan it accordingly  and make it their habit for this rearranging work.

To keep Windows working is an art itself, one has to be get himself updated with all the tips and trick and tweak stories that is regarding Windows.
