Acer Starts Shipping new models of Aspire One Series Netbooks

It seems that Acer is now in a mood to challenge other computer manufacturers to redefine the usual size of there ultraportable net books as it has now prepared the shipments of its two new highly anticipating Acer Aspire One net books.

Both these new net books the 10.1-inch Acer Aspire One AOD250 and 11.6-inch Aspire One AO751h are ready to order from Monday. It looks like these two net books have been designed to set a big competition among the net books manufacturers as they are featuring high-definition screens, full-sized keyboards, multi-gesture touch pad and 3G connectivity.

The new models are thinner than the previous Acer products having a one-inch thick body, both weigh less than three pounds. These models also give you few more choices in terms of color as they are available in four different colors these are Diamond Black, Ruby Red, Sapphire Blue, and Seashell White.
The price of 11.6-inch Aspire One AO751h starts at $349.99 whereas 10.1-inch Acer Aspire One AOD250 is available just for $298.
Both these models comes with 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi and other exciting features of these two models are1 GB DDR2 RAM, 160 GB SATA hard drive, Acer Crystal Eye Webcam, three USB 2.0 ports, Multi-in-1 Card Reader, dedicated SD Card slot, and Windows XP with Service Pack 3. These net books could be run either by a 1.6-GHz Intel Atom N270 or the 1.22-GHz Intel Atom Z520; it depends on the configuration supplied by your online retailer. You can configure the AO751h with either a 3-cell battery (4 hours) or a 6-cell one (8 hours).
