Xbox Live is Down and No Status Update on Website!

Gamers all over the world are angry and frustrated, as Xbox Live is not running as it should be. It is online intermittently. One moment it is working, another moment it is not. Even more frustrating for gamers is the blank status update web site of Microsoft. Below is the screenshot that I took when I last checked for Xbox live status from Microsoft Website. The servers were down but the site gave away no hint about that.. so much for corporate responsibility.

After some search on Internet, I found these blogs but no clue about what’s going on..

Xbox Live Nation, a site aimed at creating Xbox Live related programming standards, researching innovative community services, beta testing applications and services and promoting Xbox Live community, has built a feature into their site that allows gamers to integrate their in-game status with Twitter.

All Xbox live issues have now been resolved, which is great news for 360 gamers. The main cause of the problem was due to the heavy demand caused by Gear of War 2, and Call of Duty: World at War, which is very common when high profile games first come out.
‘Xbox Live’s broken! It’s fixed! Wait, it’s broken! No, Live has no status at all!’ Poor old Larry ‘Major Nelson’ Hryb. That was something like his thought process over the weekend as Xbox Live flaked out on some gamers, and Hryb tried to keep them informed via his blog. The ultimate solution? Cross the whole post out. Take a look for yourself to the right.
