Posted on 11 October 2008 by R. MAK.
This time of month is quite slow, everyone is either on vacation or just came back from one. people are usually at ease. We at ixibo are not different but hopefully we will be more regular now and even more interactive with our readers. thank you for bearing with us.We will try to makeup for the delay in our posts with some of the coolest gadgets we found around the Internet.
World’s Most Powerful Torchlight

We all are fascinated when it comes to lasers. They have a kind of awe! feel about them. everyone
likes to play… This Laser Flash Light that is under review can burn paper very easily as it produces some 4100 lumens.
You have to be very careful with this toy as it can start fire in a second as well as burn your skin badly. It is in fact brighter than any of currently available flood lights. this handheld device that costs about $300 is is being marketed as worlds brightest torchlight.
I would love to own one.
SL2 – Survival Tool

I have only one thing to say about SL2 Survival Tool. It is “Swiss Army Knife” of 21st century. Its tougher than steel, Its so small, It can slip into any pocket and It is virtually weightless.
It contains
- A Blade
- A Fire Starter
- A Whistle
- A Flash Light
The Blade is so sharp that its rated as a weapon and only people with age 18 and above are allowed to posses this.
The Spark it produces are 3,000°C hot, even when it is fully wet. No wonder they are not allowed on planes.
The torch is waterproof too.
Over all Its good value for money. we recommend it.

There’s a major flaw in your comparison of Garmin with Microsoft. Microsoft does NOT dominate the market because they produce superior products.
Bjørns last blog post..About Travel Writing
@Bjorn: The comparison is very much flawed, I admit.
Can you draw an alternative parallel?
@Fenix: I am undecided between McCain and Obama.
Its getting very dirty with the trooper case and other stuff coming up daily..
These gadgets are not that cool.
According to similar posts on a variety of other blogs (including what appears to be the original post on MAKE) and even a slight bit of research, the grenade mouse is Spanish in origin, and is not a real grenade casing, but plastic. Nor is it for sale, but a mod to a cheap wireless Targus mouse (hence the tag on the bottom.) Also, the left mouse button is the trigger handle.
For Bjorn-
Maybe linux and the server industry. Or if you want to take your metaphor away from computers, try a car company. Everyone understands what a Rolls Royce is for.
Most competent (read: people who do more than click a mouse) computer users will agree Microsoft dominates because their agreements, not because of better products. In fact, with the release of OpenOffice 3.0 on Friday / tomorrow, I cant think of one area where Microsoft even has the best product. Its not the desktop, its not an office suite, its not online, its not on the server, and its certainly not the OS unless you think failed ideas circa 1985 are awesome.
I like the laser torch, but can’t think of a single situation where it would be useful.
Also, we have a problem with idiots flashing laser pointers into the eyes of pilots as they try to land their jumbos in my country at the moment. Laser pointers have been banned, let alone laser torches…I doubt I’d get it through customs.
