How to Double Firefox Browsing Speed on Dialup Connection

- Enter content.interrupt.parsing in the New boolean value pop-up window and click OK.
- When prompted to choose the value for the new boolean, select true and click OK.
- Right-click anywhere in the about:config window, select New and then Integer from the pop-up menu.
- Enter content.max.tokenizing.time in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK
- You will be prompted to enter a value. Enter 2250000 and click OK.
- Type content.notify.interval in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK.
- You will be prompted to enter a value. Enter 750000 and click OK.
- Right-click anywhere in the about:config window and select New and then Boolean from the pop-up menu.
- Type content.notify.ontimer in the New boolean value pop-up window and click OK.
- You will be prompted to choose the value for the new boolean. Select true and click OK.
- Right-click anywhere in the about:config window and select New and then Integer from the pop-up menu.
- Enter content.notify.backoffcount in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK.
- You will be prompted to enter a value. Enter 5 and click OK.
The low frequency interrupt mode interrupts the parser less frequently to allow for quicker page load. The application enters high frequency interrupt mode when you move the mouse or type on the keyboard and switch back to low frequency mode when you had no activity for a certain amount of time. This preference controls that amount of time.
- Right-click anywhere in the about:config window and select New and then Integer from the pop-up menu.
- Enter content.switch.threshold in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK.
- You will be prompted to enter a value. Enter 750000 and click OK.
- Rightclick anywhere in the about:config window and select New and then Integer from the pop-up menu.
- Enter nglayout.initialpaint.delay in the New integer value pop-up window and click OK.
- You will be prompted to enter a value. Enter 0 and click OK.
These all tweaks, tips and tricks are really good, they work too. But, at the end of the day nothing compares to a Fast CPU, More RAM and a Blazing Fast Internet Connection. A dailup will always be a dialup, A T1 will be T1… there is no comparison and no trick in the world can make a dialup perform like a DSL…Forget it…
But still we try and you can see I am trying to get most juice out of my dialup ![]()

1) see your tip 5 ..now look your ip address ,still we are using ipv4
not ipv6 so making ipv6 enable will improve speed of Firefox??
2) pipelining :-from 2 tip….multiple requests can be sent before any responses are received. This is known as pipelining. what you understand from pipe?? requests are pipe one by one,right?????

well, some people still use it. it is just sufficent to have a text browser (the one which doesnt load images, java ect) to have a fast connection. if you also add this trick it will look like you have a T1 connection!
