Just follow these steps to edit the themes or to create new ones:

1. Just open the theme creator after installation.
2. It will load a default environment for a particular random SE phone, which you can change the phone acc to your model from File > Change Phone menu
3. Now as the pictures below shows its already loaded with a phone model + a theme compatible to it.Now you can either EDIT it or make a new one.
4. Those black toolbar buttons shows all the possible screens and options you can edit the theme on.
5. Click an option and work around
6. You can then release themes on your name in Author field
